Throwing Instructions

Only throw in open areas, clear of people, buildings, cars and trees. I recommend a sports oval for throwing.
1.
Place the flat side of the boomerang in the palm of your hand. (A)
2.
Determine the wind direction (12 o'clock) and throw at 3 o'clock (left hand throwers, throw at 9 o'clock). (B)
3.
Launch boomerang at 20 - 30 degrees off vertical. (C)
4.
Do not lay the boomerang flat or it will raise high and return hard. Do not attempt to catch a boomerang in this flight.
5.
Do not throw it straight up and down or it will not make it around and come back to you.
6.
If your boomerang lands behind you, throw it a little further to the right, (left hand throwers, throw further left).
7.
If your boomerang lands in front of you, throw it a little further to the left, (left hand throwers, throw further right).
8.
If the boomerang is on it's way back and doesn't quite make it, throw a little harder.
Once you understand the flight of your boomerang, it is possible to catch it. With both your hands flat, clap your hands on your boomerang. (D)

Calm, warm days are ideal for throwing your boomerang. The stronger the wind the more it will affect the flight.
