| Only throw in open areas,
clear of people, buildings, cars and trees. I recommend a sports
oval for throwing. |
|
1. |
Place the flat side of the boomerang in the palm
of your hand. (A) |
|
2. |
Determine the wind direction (12 o'clock) and throw at 3 o'clock
(left hand throwers, throw at 9 o'clock). (B) |
|
3. |
Launch boomerang at 20 - 30 degrees off vertical. (C) |
|
4. |
Do not lay the boomerang flat or it will raise high and return
hard. Do not attempt to catch a boomerang in this flight. |
|
5. |
Do not throw it straight up and down or it will not make it
around and come back to you. |
|
6. |
If your boomerang lands behind you, throw it a little further
to the right, (left hand throwers, throw further left). |
|
7. |
If your boomerang lands in front of you, throw it a little
further to the left, (left hand throwers, throw further right). |
|
8. |
If the boomerang is on it's way back and doesn't quite make
it, throw a little harder. |
|
Once you understand
the flight of your boomerang, it is possible to catch it.
With both your hands flat, clap your hands on your boomerang.
(D) |
Calm, warm days are ideal for throwing
your boomerang. The stronger the wind the more it will affect
the flight.
Many Happy Returns
